BPS – North American Distributor for all Werne & Thiel Moisture Sensors and Products
As of October 2010, BPS became the official U.S. distributor for Werne & Thiel to provide high quality products throughout the North American Continent.
With over 35 years of experience as one of the world leading manufacturers of moisture measuring systems, and their innovation based own research – and development department, will Werne & Thiel serve their customers now directly. For over 20 years, BPS-founder Frank Lueck worked with most of the moisture sensors from Werne & Thiel former known as Arnold-Automation. Our new service will know include the repair of damaged moisture sensor surfaces and custom-made support brackets, available in mild – or stainless steel.
All moisture measuring systems, control units, wear – and spare parts are Made in Germany, brackets and mounting devices are build locally to the manufacturers specs.
BPS went to Germany for an in-house training to provide quality and assures proper repair of all damaged sensor surfaces.

Our Moisture Sensors

This classic style probe features the latest electronic. The low and fixed profile is still appreciated, but does not allow any depth adjustments. With 11 mm above mounting flange, the sensor surface is limited to thin mounting brackets. This probe is pre-wired with a 3 mtr fixed cable. The signal output for most of these probes sold in the U.S. is 0-10VDC (commonly used in Europe) with power input +15V/-15VDC and have a signal processing device like the MB1 or FMP2 or 0-20mA with PLC processing.

Model FSV
With an additional clamping ring is this 100% water proof model variable adjustable between 0 – 50 mm. This assures a flat surface with a wide range of mounting devices. The new 4 mtr long plug & screw data cable saves our customers from buying a new probe in case of cable damage. The sensor head surface can be repaired (at BPS) and is in 2 different materials available. Ceramic for regular use with sand and the assurance of a clean screen line and other non-high abrasive materials, or with abrasive resistant rubber for high abrasive materials and gravel up to 3/8″. Customers who have problems with there screen line (foreign material or over sized sand grains) will appreciate this more impact resistant version. The clamping ring features the same hole pattern like our classic model FS1.

Model FSA
The special configuration from this model allows moisture readings from inside a holding hopper or bin, directly in the flow of material. This moisture sensor comes with the same features like the FSV – Models, except the wiring is protected inside the arm, which comes in 3 different length (1, 2 and 3ft length). The 4 mtr. long plug and crew data cable will be connected to the end of the arm extension. The mounting bracket comes in 3 different angles 90° – 60° and 30°. What ever angle your bin wall has, we have the right bracket. Custom made brackets available upon request. All brackets are made from stainless steel.

Model FSM
This extreme robust and highly durable mixer moisture sensor has all the features like the model FSV and FSA. It comes with a thick walled wear protection bushing. The measuring surface is protected by a 10mm ceramic plate.

Model FSH
A high temperature moisture probe with insulated center section, for measuring moisture content in applications requiring high temperatures for up to 190° C (375°F). Common use are in foundries to assure consistent moisture levels in molding sand. Permissible ambient temperature from the back stage electronic should not exceed 80°C (175°F).
